The idea of using the ai in Revit is streamlined as follows:

1. Generate the structural model in Revit using the ai, or alternatively it can extract the data from an existing Revit model for further detailing purposes;

2. Create a structural analysis model (i.e., in SAP2000, ETABS, RISA 3D, etc.);

3. Use the structural outputs (i.e., bending moments, forces and reactions) and generate details based on the calculations in Revit (i.e., rebars, bolts, connections, etc.);

4. Create Revit models and drawing sheets; and

5. Generate material takeoff for cost estimates.

Using this process enables a holistic and streamlined engineering process, providing efficiency and accuracy in the engineering and detailing, and will yield considerable benefits in the long run.
