This video shows the Artificial Intelligence (ai) generating the structural model for a floor plan similar to Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) Structural Exam 2016 Question #4. The input is simply the floor plan layout, min. column spacing, no-column zones, openings and floor height restrictions.
Based on this information, the ai is able to generate the structural framing (column grid), while automatically calculating the foundation, structural member sizes and connection details (bolts and welds). Structural steel is used as the primary construction material.
